R.A.S College of education has been established in the memory of Late Rao Abhay Singh an eminent personality and great social reformer of the region. College with dedicated, qualified and hard working faculty lays strong emphasis on traditional values, so that tomorrow you not only become a successful teacher but also an ethical and responsible human being.

Our Guiding Light
Late Rao Abhay Singh Born on Sept 01, 1923 in a Jagirdar family of Village Saharanwas Distt Rewari, received his early education in the village school. He received his school education in Ahir School Rewari. Later, he moved to Delhi's prestigious St. Stephens college and received his B.A degree from there. He did L.L.B from Lahore university. He worked as a lawyer for some years and later on he joined politics. He won the Rewari Vidhan Sabha Seat twice and for one time he was MLA from Jatusana Constituency. He remained very close to Late. Sh Pratap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab, Feroze Gandhi, Smt. Indira Gandhi and Sh. Rajeev Gandhi. He always worked for the welfare of the poor and down trodden people of the region. He was a thorough gentle man and easily approachable to the people. His son, Captain Ajay Singh Yadav (Six times M.L.A from Rewari and present Power, forest and Environment Minister of Haryana) and other family members took the initiative and started this college of Education in his memory to produce highly motivated and dedicated teachers who could serve the people of Haryana and other provinces by giving quality education to the students.
